Lucy Maud Montgomery

Lucy Maud Montgomery Itinerary

Anne of Green Gables Museum | 902-886-2884

Find a treasure around every corner! Lucy Maud Montgomery called the Campbell home “the wonder castle of my childhood.” This site is also home to the Lake of Shining Waters and Anne’s enchanted bookcase.

Bideford Parsonage Museum | 902-831-3133

This historical residence was the home of L.M. Montgomery in 1894-95 during her first year of teaching at the Bideford School. This museum covers three themes: shipbuilding; Parsons/Ministers and their contribution to the community; and Lucy Maud Montgomery.

Green Gables Heritage Place | 902-963-7874

The site commemorates the cultural landscape associated with the formative years and early career of world-renowned author Lucy Maud Montgomery. View an exhibit, wander through Green Gables House, take a relaxing stroll on one of our interpretive trails or participate in a guided activity.

Lucy Maud Montgomery Birthplace | 902-836-5502

The 1850’s home, where the famous author of Anne of Green Gables Lucy Maud Montgomery was born, now houses a collection of memorabilia connected with her, including the replica of her wedding dress and personal scrapbooks.

L. M. Montgomery Lower Bedeque Schoolhouse Museum | 902-368-1670

Lucy Maud Montgomery taught at the school as her last teaching post on PEI in 1897-1898. The museum gives families, especially children an opportunity to see what it was like to have all grades together.
